A delicious and easy homemade sweet chili sauce. I think it's better than the ready-made one you can buy in the store.

This sauce is versatile and is used in a number of different Asian dishes. Some examples of recipes on this website that use this type of sauce are slowcooker peanutbutter chicken and spring rolls.

The sauce can be used as a dipping sauce for spring rolls, grilled chicken wings, meatballs, mozzarella sticks and much more.

You can easily omit the red food coloring if you don't want to use it.

I usually pour the sauce into small, well-cleaned bottles while it's still warm so that it lasts a little longer in the refrigerator before opening the bottle. However, keep an eye on the sauce so that it doesn't go bad - if you suspect it has gone bad, throw it away rather than take a chance. If you plan to save it for a longer period of time, you can also freeze the sauce in an airtight plastic container.
