A very simple basic recipe for shrimp salad that I usually use when I want a more fun shrimp salad. For regular shrimp salad, I usually use half the weight of the shrimp for the amount of mayonnaise and then season lightly with salt, pepper and add some kind of flavor such as dill or similar. Here I throw in a little chili heat and sweetness by using sriracha to give the shrimp salad a slightly different twist. I think it works especially well to use this shrimp salad in a flatbread roll or hot dog, which is why I used that as the main picture and also the reason why I don't throw in more flavors but keep it very simple.
When I took the pictures this time, I used a bit more mayonnaise because I wanted to use up the last of what I had in a jar, but the result was a bit too loose so I adjusted it in the future. Exactly how loose the result will be also depends a lot on how much liquid the shrimp release when everything is mixed. Once I used fresh shrimp and peeled them myself which was excellent, another time I used pre-peeled shrimp in brine which gave a significantly looser consistency (despite letting the shrimp drain for a quarter of an hour) which I wasn't entirely happy with. So - depending on which shrimp you use, you may need to adjust a little to taste and liking.
