A simple homemade Irish cream that is very reminiscent of Baileys.
A delicious drink that is easy and quick to throw together. If you have some cheap whiskey at home, it can be a good alternative to use here instead of drinking it neat.
I use cocoa powder, but you can also use chocolate sauce instead. Chocolate sauce is easier to mix, but I choose cocoa powder and mix with a food processor (should work with a hand blender too) and add the cream at the end when the rest of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed instead.
Store in the refrigerator. I am unsure about the shelf life of this but estimate 2 weeks after I mix it together. You have to make sure to check it before you drink it and simply throw it away rather than take a chance.
Another thing is that it layers a little easily when it is sitting still in the refrigerator, so you probably need to shake it a little before serving.
Ingredients
Directions
- Mix condensed milk, whiskey, cocoa powder, vanilla sugar and instant coffee powder well. I used a food processor here.
- Add cream and mix well. Do not over-whip - the cream should still be liquid.
