I saw this online a while ago and finally decided to make a few versions and see what I liked best. Overall, it was actually surprisingly good and different enough from a classic hamburger to justify the slightly longer time and different technique used. I also thought the slightly crispy tortilla turned out really well and provided a good contrast to the filling.

There are a number of different variations to find and they are sometimes called slightly different things too; "Big Mac Tacos", "Smash Burger Tacos" or "Big Mac Smash Tacos". Regardless of the name, they are based on the same concept - that you press out a thin layer of ground beef on a soft tortilla and fry it in a frying pan and then flip it over. You can use a burger press or a smaller pan (about the same size as the tortilla) if you want, but I thought it turned out well even without pressing extra once everything was in the frying pan.

It's pretty quick (2-3 minutes) to fry everything on medium/high heat and then you can turn everything over, add a slice of cheese and cover the frying pan with a lid to help the cheese melt more easily. Then just pick it up from the frying pan and fold it into a taco shape and fill with goodies.

I used standard wheat tortillas (small) and thought 2 of them were a pretty good amount for one serving.
